Why Ryan will lose

As long as we're sharing photographs, I thought I'd go ahead and give pictorial evidence of why I'm going to lose (the contest, that is):

As you can see, this photo includes (clockwise from top left) the remainder of a cake that our friend Jill brought to our small group this afternoon; the double chocolate M&M cheesecake that our baker friend Pat just dropped off as a "reverse birthday present" (her birthday is Friday); the Coffee ice cream and Butter Pecan ice cream that our last houseguests left us; and lest I seem guiltless, the tupperware full of no-bake chocolate coconut oatmeal cookies I made today and the loaded peanut butter ice cream I made last night.

When I weighed in this morning I was doing quite well, but my official weigh in is tomorrow and I've probably gained back all that I had lost. Hopefully some of the folks coming over for the Tony Awards tonight will polish off some of the food so it will be less of a temptation.

  1. That all looks REALLY yummy! Can you mail me some of it? Just kidding! Not to make you feel any worse...but today was my 7th PERFECT day in a row. I've worked out and stayed within my points ALL seven days! I'm trying to see how many perfect days I can have in a row. Before my wedding I made it 65 days...so I know I can do it. Enjoy your food! :)

  2. Who exactly is putting that fork into your mouth?
Get a watermelon or something to go with those so you can eat healthfully. Holly says if she gets right back on it after a vacation, it comes off fairly easily. So buck up little camper. You are still in the competition.

  3. Good point mom! YOU are the only person that puts food into your mouth so YOU are the only person responsible for your weight. Makes you think! Seems like that would make it easy, doesn't it? I wish!

  4. You'll be happy to know I refrained from eating TOO much (albeit I did eat some) and when I weighed in yesterday morning I had lost 2 pounds for the week! :o)

Last night I had the NCC Coaches over for a training session and I made them eat most of it to get it out of the house. Still have some left, but I'll try to resist until next Sunday (my extra points day).
